**Standards for Mathematical Practice**

The CCSSM includes Standards for Mathematical Practice which describe types of expertise that students should develop in their study of math. These practices are:

- Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
- Reason abstractly and quantitatively.
- Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
- Model with mathematics.
- Use appropriate tools strategically.
- Attend to precision.
- Look for and make use of structure.
- Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.

Inside Mathematics has a series of video resources to illustrate the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice.
